Glad scoring chances agree with my view of the young pups. Too much feast or famine. Having Barker and Sutton on the ice when the kids were out didn’t help either.
CBC had the chances at 8-2 after 1 period, so you are pretty much in line with them.
DB: this just in: I’m good:)
So 10 and 94 did this while mostly playing Gaborik and Richards? That’s pretty impressive.
@RiversQ – Tortorella moved Gaborik away from that line in the 3rd period. 10-94-28 kept checking Richards.
Then combinations of 20 or 57 got a few shifts against Gaborik.
Hey Tyler,
Mind following me on twitter?
Just dropped you a line.
I love that my stat is pretty damn popular these days, but seeing it credited to other people ain’t the greatest.
And yes, I understand that’s somewhat narcissistic.
PDO
I think it usually gets credited to me, no? I correct people when that happens.
Good to see Renney actually bench coaching this year. Makes a difference.
If Hemsky comes back and the veterans stay reasonably healthy … we could be talking about meaningful Oiler hockey games in March, Dennis. Dare to dream.
Huge difference – having the horses certainly helps as well. The addition of Belanger has had a ripple effect and Smyth and Horcoff have turned back the clock. Throw in Paajarvi and Lander and Petrell, three guys who have played pro for a while, even the kids, and all of a sudden we have a bunch of guys who can play.
But he’s sheltering the kids and letting his vets do the heavy lifting and he’s not fucking around with the PK and all of a sudden he looks like the coach we thought we were getting.
Man did they leave nothing to chance when it came to tanking last season.
they have been soundly EV outchanced in some third periods thus far but they just haven’t been given fuckall EV chances in the first 40 min of each of the games. Now, do they sag under the pressure in the third period? I’m not sure.
If 6 stays healthy and 44 is real then we’ll be much better than I thought was possible.
The schedule has been pretty kind to them as well.
