      #35 is the only reason the record of our last 10 isn’t a lot better… Oilers have at the very least been right in games for a while here.

      Fuck the braintrust better realize this team isn’t that far off.

      Yeah, the Oilers coaching staff has to realize and admit that everything they thought they knew about ST is absolutely wrong.

      The other thing is I don’t know if 89 can survive if he can’t win a faceoff. We can’t run 10-13-89-new guy down the middle in 2012 unless the new guy wins 80% of his faceoffs;)

      Plus, 89 has never been an ace PKer either so you have all the kids who might be able to bring the offense that he does and then he’s left as a chip to fill the holes that he hasn’t been able to fill.

      We all come up with the 2012 lineups but you need four or six guys who can kill penalties out of that group. And unless we’re gonna break in new guys like 89 or 91 then we’re gonna have to slot someone other than 10 and the likely 4th line 85 as a PKer.

      Enough with the faceoffs already. It makes such a minimal difference to the outcome of the season, why is it the biggest issue in the world all of a sudden?

      Adam D: Disagree. I think faceoffs are important, and contribute to the terrible special teams. Lose the draw on a PP and you lose 10-15 seconds going back to your zone and then have to gain entry again. Lose the draw on the PK and the other team immediately has possession in your zone.
