I’m a bit surprised. The Vegas line for the Blues @ Oilers game leaned Oilers, even after the home team bonus, and I would imagine that the Blues are a better team than the Avs.

Is Joe Sakic going to jump out of the crowd during the first period?

Clearly, Vegas is aware that the Avs are “loose.” Now that they’re out of the race, they’ll finish the season 7-3-1. At least.

Tyler, that’s not actually true. The vig is throwing you off. In a vigless bet, a road team in a completely 50-50 game should be trading at around +110 to +115. Note that the Oilers are at about -110 right now, which means the bookies think they’re a favorite.

Having said that, I think COL at home -110 is a decent bet tonight. Note that the Avs have much better shot ratios than the Oil in every single game state, but have had worse percentages. Maybe it’s because the Oilers have better goaltending and better “finishing”, but maybe not.

I think the Avs are the exception to the PDO rule - that’s a garbage tandem.
